2010 Quilt Block Garden

Posted By on May 28, 2010

Chatfield’s Sassy Quilters and Friends of the Library plant a quilt block garden in front of the Public Library. Funds for the project came from a grant from the Chosen Valley Community Foundation, applied for by Mimi Seamens (member of the Sassy Quilters and the Friends of the Library). Gerry Gathje of Hillside Nursery graciously volunteered to add new soil and till the garden before the planting began.

Watch for update photos in the future showing the progress and emerging design and beauty of this quilt block garden.  Our Sassy Quilters never cease to impress us with the beauty of their projects and the generosity of their spirits!

Volunteers pruned rose bushes and other plantings in the Library’s landscaping.

Thanks to our community’s unlimited generosity, May 20, 2010 was a busy day of outdoor beautification at the library!
